Borland Developer Studio 2006

by @ 1:25 am on 12/23/2005.

I loaded up BDS yesterday and today I imported my ADFIND project into it to compile and see if anything would break.

Amazingly nothing broke!

However, the release version of the EXE has swollen up from 900K to 2600K. That is a pretty serious bloat. I will have to do some testing to see if I can reduce it back down. I recall when I first moved to Borland Building 6 I had some EXE growth as well that I eventually figured out how to tune back, though it never got back to the size Borland Builder 5 produced.

I am curious if it is any faster due to supposedly being a better compiler.
