ADFind V01.30.00

by @ 3:18 am on 1/29/2006.

I have released ADFIND V01.30.00

The primary reason for this version is to fix a bug that was introduced in V01.27.00 which caused multivalue GUID/SID attributes to be displayed incorrectly. I found this myself when working out a process for something that I can’t for the life of me recall at the moment. I found the bug last week, it is fixed now. Get this version just for that!

Some additional changes

o Fixed bug in /??? usage screen

o Changed tool to output logonWorkstations as ASCII instead of HEX characters. For some reason MS made that field an octet string instead of a unicode string.

o Added several new switches, the coolest being -flagdc and -adcsv. The first, -flagdc decodes systemFlags, searchFlags, and instanceType and I found a rather harmless bug in Exchange and how it creates objects in the domain NCs. The second, -adcsv, has no value at the moment because nothing knows how to use it. But the idea is that I can use this to boost the power of tying adfind and other joeware tools. Doing this may help me hold off having to merge adfind/admod to get some advanced capabilities I want to add. I am still going to have to do it to really make some cool things, but that will be a long slow process and I need to think it out really well. This allows me to test some new functionality in the short term.

Again, download this version for the bug fix for the GUID/SID multivalue attributes.
