Go Ford!!!

The AFA still makes me laugh. Keep going Ford… You would think that a vote 95% against the AFA would send them a message? Even if most of the shares voted were Ford family owned… I.E. AFA, it isn’t your company, get your nose out of its business. Don’t like their policies, don’t buy their stock, don’t buy their products, don’t look at anything Ford sponsors (say like American Idol).

You Will Absolutely Not Believe What Ford Has Done Now

Ford’s magazine sponsorship now includes promotion of repugnant activity

Dear Joe,

When Ford responds to those who write concerning their promotion of homosexual marriage, the response they get from Ford’s Customer Relationship Center says their support “is a strong commitment we intend to carry forward with no exception.” For Ford, that support also includes homosexual polygamy.

To show those supporting traditional marriage they mean business, Ford sponsored the June 6 issue of the homosexual publication The Advocate. The cover reads: “Polygamy & Gay Men. Dirty laundry or sexual freedom? How gay men handle multiple partners.” The article promotes homosexual polygamy.

Ford sponsored the publication with a full page back cover advertising Ford Motor company product Volvo and a full page ad for all Ford brands with the line: “Ford Motor Company. Standing strong with America’s families and communities.”

Ford’s support for the magazine’s promotion of homosexual polygamy leaves no doubt that Ford means to continue pushing the homosexual agenda, even including homosexual polygamy.

To see the front cover, the contents page and the ads for Ford and Volvo, click here < http://www.afa.net/petitions/ford/advocate/ads.html> . I must warn you, it will be offensive to many. The pages show the contents of the magazine which Ford helped sponsor with two full-page ads, but I felt we must include the proof. If you don’t want to see it, please don’t click the link. At their stockholders meeting on May 11, Ford voted 95% of the ballots cast to continue their support of the homosexual agenda rather than be neutral in the cultural battle.

The boycott is working. The value of Ford stock has gone down 13% since the boycott began, while sales continue to drop.

Hmmm… Guess Ford is deciding to abandon the NASCAR dads, in favor of the wanna be “dads.” Take a look at this stat posted in the Charlotte Observer:

“Percentage of U.S. and Canadian parts and assembly location for street versions of cars racing in NASCAR’s top series:
    • Chevrolet Monte Carlo (Canada): 92%
    • Toyota Camry (Kentucky): 80%*
    • Dodge Charger (Canada): 74%
    • Ford Fusion (Mexico): 30%

Can Ford even be considered an American company anymore? With their political leaning, maybe they should move their HQ to Holland.

    since when does American = AFA/Right wing/conservative/whatever ?

Holland doesn’t own an exclusive license on liberal/anarchy/etc.

Maybe Ford has realized there aren’t as many NASCAR dads as there are everyone else….

Truth be told, I’m not sure why Ford feels it needs to comment on such issues – I would much rather hear their opinions on rising cost of healthcare for workers / offshoring of jobs and the future of oil in America. Hmmm, maybe they don’t want to tell us what they really think about those issues.

Ford’s opinion on this matter is irrelevant … to anything. The AFA’s obsession with it is even worse.

Organizations like the AFA are what is wrong with America now. How can people in a country that is based on equility and freedom turn and and tell a group people they can’t do something. They are harming anyone.
I also don’t see why companies have to be political. Stop worry about gays getting married and make some half way decent vehicles.

  4. Fred says:

@Antknee: I disagree completely with this statement:

“Organizations like the AFA are what is wrong with America now. How can people in a country that is based on equility and freedom turn and and tell a group people they can’t do something.”

America’s great for PRECISELY the reason that organizations like the AFA exist. It’s called freedom of speech.

If you believe in “Equality and Freedom”, by definition you believe the AFA ALSO have the right to speak whatever they wish, including lambasting Ford or whomever else with whom they disagree, however much YOU disagree with them. There’s nothing wrong with America.

I’ve got examples galore to show you just how wrong a country can be.

  5. Antknee says:

Ok… then what is wrong is when policians or whoever LISTEN to organizations like the AFA. Or deciding for Americans what is moraly right for them. Surely you don’t think that (for example) gays should be banned from marrying. That sounds just like banning blacks or women from participating in society just because of who they are.
