So with the huge manufacturer discounts did you go buy a new car? If not, why not?
Hopefully you at least looked if you had any interest at all. Prices were amazingly low. How low? I went and looked and found a Dodge 2500 4×4 PowerWagon, sticker price $42,000 for $34,000. That is $8,000 discount. That is a serious discount.
I have always wanted a 2500 series since it is quite heavy duty and likely to put up with abuse that I give it when I go to Northern Michigan to visit relatives, but usually they are just a bit out of my range. Not this time! So I traded in my 2003 Dodge 1500 4×4 and ended up with a payment $15 a month less than what I had on the 2003. This is good because I don’t bring home as much as I did in 2003.
Anyway, if you have any curiosity or need for a vehicle, I do recommend you go at least look and ask how much they are. The employee pricing is going to end on the first and probably won’t be back. GM reported losing over a Billion dollars doing this, but at least they cleared out all of their 2005 model year vehicles.
