I have been importing all of my CDs into MP3 tracks with mediaplayer. Oy is this long and drawn out. Much easier though than bringing everything in as a WAV and then converting from the command line with BladeEnc like you used to have to do though…
It appears that my entire music collection will end up easily fitting on my Creative Zen Sleek. Including just oodles of songs I don’t like (you know the ones the 10 crappy filler songs on a CD with 2 good songs…). I need to start going through and rating them in media player so I can figure out what to purge.
Joe,
look on the brightside…. I’ve just completed ripping approx 6500 tracks into Windows Media Player – it’s taken me about 6 months of doing a few albums whenever I’ve got some free time – but it’s worth it now – as I can fit the stuff I like on my Creative Zen Micro and have a Gig free to use as a removable drive 🙂
I want to hear about some of the most horrific how-on-earth-did-that-get-in-my-collection songs that you discover!!
I will have to check it out and report back. I do have to say I was often going… Oh yeah I forgot I had this. I can’t wait to start paying all of the Dread Zeppelin I have. That is some great stuff!
I just found Bananarama and Milli Vanilli. The scary thing is that, first, I didn’t delete them, second I played them and third, I knew all the lyrics and was happy to sing along.
