One of my sisters (the blonde one if you are curious) asked me to set up a guestbook for her website and so I looked on the POWWEB offerings to see what they had in their quick setup…
Well the first was AdvGuestbook, it didn’t install properly from the quick install so I went and downloaded it from the website and tried to install it and realized why it didn’t install well, you had to go in and mess with the source changing stuff to make it work. I got it partially up and running and then just stopped because everytime I went to a new page I ran into some other issue so I deleted it.
The next was ViPER which I installed from the quick install. It seemed to go in well but then it also sucked. Some pages worked, some didn’t, some worked after a refresh, etc.
Finally I tried nms Guestbook, long story short, it also sucked.
Does anyone know of a guestbook that runs on BSD / PHP / MySQL that doesn’t suck? I may just set up wordpress for her as a guestbook. Sure it is blogging software but I think I could get it to function as a guestbook instead.
