Ok… So this is a bit weird.
Supposedly the MoveMailbox CDOEXM method cannot be used to move mailboxes across administrative groups until you get Exchange 2003 SP2 installed and specially call the method with the proper parameters… I am not finding that to be true with ExchMbx. I can use an old or new version of ExchMbx from a machine with either SP1 or SP2 Exchange tools loaded and I can so move mailboxes cross-AGs….
Has anyone used ExchMbx and ran into an issue moving Cross-AG? If so, let me know, a nice snippet of the error and all would be great, I may send you a debug version of the updated tool to see if that works because I can’t get either the old nor the new to break in my environment with two AGs.
I hate to release the thing without actually seeing it being able to move Cross-AG when the old version doesn’t but at the very least it will get away from that really annoying issue that popped up because Microsoft Exchange Dev doesn’t understand COM development rules and changed the contract on the interface.
Anyway… That is where I am, still on schedule to put up on the web site pre-May 1. Nothing real exciting stuffed in there except the SP2 fix.
