Second funniest email ever…

by @ 6:48 pm on 7/13/2006. Filed under general

Some of you may recall a post from a few months ago where I shared the funniest email I ever received. I received several emails asking me to share more funny emails because they like how I present things… I seem to have a quality that I can tell people a serious story and make them laugh at the same time. Well I have refrained from doing that because I really didn’t have any other emails that stacked up… until yesterday.

Yesterday I received an email from Sanjay Tandon on the topic of Defending Security Infrastructures. Imagine my surprise that he had something to add to the conversation on Defending Security Infrastructures.

I have to get dressed to go get some lobster and crab for dinner, a topic far more near and dear to my heart than anything I can write about any of this.

So without further adieu for your Friday humour reading please may I present the second funniest email I ever received.  Please feel free to spread far and wide.

PS: If I had a minute to waste on an inconsequential kid like you, I would, but alas…

 Oh in case it is said I made this all up… here are the headers. Honestly, I can’t make this stuff up….

I am sure there will be more to this later when I decide to write it because we need a one year update on my previous blog entry. As it is, I have to get going.

    Was this guy really the PM for all of AD security at Microsoft? I know security is one of your passions. Just wondering if you two have some past history or was he just mad about your last blog.

    He calls you an “inconsequential kid”. Doesn’t he realize that you are one of the most helpful AD experts around? I’m not sure I’d say that was inconsequential.

    On another note if you want to call someone inconsequential at least look at the stats:

    Alexa stats for:

    joeware.net = Traffic Rank for joeware.net: 533,493
    Other sites that link to this site: 66

    sanjaytandon.com = Traffic Rank for sanjaytandon.com: 4,751,153
    Other sites that link to this site: No Data

    OWNED!!!

    …but look he has a signed Birthday picture from Bill Gates so he must the man.

    Kinda makes you wonder…if he didn’t have a minute to waste, why is he:
    a) In Tahiti
    b) Spending nearly a minute to type an email to you

    Fascinating…

    Mike:
    Sanjay is mad because I was straight up honest with him and he didn’t take it very well. I was hoping to help him before too many people completely dismissed him because I think the field he works in is important and it is very important for people to take security seriously. I am writing up a “one year update” to the blog entry I wrote last July 18 on Sanjay leaving Microsoft. It will explain in detail what has happened over the last year and also explain why Sanjay is not thrilled with me at the moment and why I don’t care.

    Darren:
    I only work here. 🙂

  4. Mike Kline says:

    Looking forward to that blog. I checked out last year’s entry and you were very positive towards him and his delegation whitepaper.

    From reading your posts over the last year on the newsgroups I know you have said that you think provisioning tools/systems are good and that you think delegation should be pulled out of AD.

  5. matheesha says:

    Who cares for these heat of the moment exchanges? If you were indeed the “kid” he said you were, would he link to you? http://www.activedirectoryconsulting.com/links.html

    He just seems convinced he’s onto something big. He sure is taking his sweet time though. No wonder it looks like vapourware

  6. Matheesha says:

    Oops! He’s removed it. Apparently he doesnt think this site has much helpful info on AD anymore. Tch Tch!
