Obviously the announcement of its demise was a bit premature.
That is why I chuckled when I heard it last year. 🙂

People still use typewriters… it doesn’t make them useful.
In any case… LDAP is going to be around for at least another 5 years.
You can’t think of cases where a typewriter would be useful? I can think of cases where a typewriter would be more useful than a computer without even blinking.
