Jawbone MyTalk Updater is sort of a CPU pig

by @ Friday, January 21st, 2011. Filed under tech

I was running Process Explorer and on an idle system I noticed that my CPU was bumping around a lot more than I would expect for an idle system. Pulled up SysInternals Process Explorer and saw that the Aliph Jawbone updater tool was the one eating CPU. I killed it and set it to not […]

If you want to open an iPhone4, get it, probably the cheapest you will find it. Link for tool http://www.ifixit.com/iPhone-Parts/iPhone-4-Liberation-Kit/IF182-019   Link […]

Oops… Added switches to AdFind and didn’t add them to the usage screens

by @ Wednesday, January 12th, 2011. Filed under tech

As I am working on updating the usage in AdFind for some changes I have made I realized I never added the usage help for the –ameta and –vmeta switches I added last year. So with your current version of AdFind, assuming you have downloaded the latest version on the website since last April, you […]

Quick update to http://blog.joeware.net/2010/12/09/2163/ AdFind can now successfully output CSV for a test group that had over a million users (http://blog.joeware.net/2010/12/10/2168/). I am not saying it is rip roaring fast or anything, but it will do it.   Last night I also added the ability to add an INT8 string to the time decode output […]

by @ Friday, December 10th, 2010. Filed under tech

I haven’t been able to download it yet but it is certainly worth a look. People have often heard me say that Quest has some of the best developers who understand and write software for MSFT products outside of Redmond. In fact, there are times when I think some of those guys know more about […]
