After some of the previous blog entries and comments I have also gotten some offline comments basically saying “Are you rebuilding your house?”. Well kind of, yeah, I have been. I will try to post some pics occasionally of some of the work. One of the larger transformations occurred when I had the peak of the house raised and raised the ceiling for the upstairs and at the same time added on about 350 square feet. I didn’t actually do this work myself, I was MUCH too busy at the time with work pulling 80 hour work weeks to have accomplished anything like this. So here is the before and after. Before is the top image with Blue siding. The After is the bottom image with White siding. This photo is from a couple of years ago now. There is even more done with landscaping and such but I don’t see any more current photos with the proper angle and such.
Your house looks alot smarter in white. Has anything been done to the roof as it looks a lot fresher in the latest picture or is it just the sun?

Yes, the roof was reshingled from gray to green with a tear off and replacing of any bad boards. Also the dormer roofs were obviously modified from the rounded shape to the peaked shape, and of course the roof extension means that about 6-8 feet of the front roof is all new and the entire back portion of the roof is all new.
