I took these photos myself. For the last few years since the Ford Centennial they have planted about 20 acres of sunflowers or ~5 million sunflowers for the birds and to make the empty lots Ford has around Dearborn look nicer. http://www.fordlanddevelopment.com/fairlane/f000/f000_story3.jsp
I did use Digital Image Suite on the photos to overexpose the pics a little to try and enhance the colors and bleed them a little. The pictures, however, do not do justice for how pretty these flowers are. The yellow flowers accent the blue sky very well and seemed perfect for the day. It is amazing how pretty they look in the picture yet I know they don’t come anywhere near catching even a shadow of the true beauty of the real thing.

You have to visit Hungary someday in the spring – You will see really big sunflowers fields :).
