Why is the Silverlight V1.0 install package coming down through Microsoft Update? Do any other companies get to send down IE plugins through Microsoft Update?

Have to disagree with you on this one…
Microsoft Update and IE are both owned by Microsoft, therefore Microsoft should be allowed to offer any plugins they want through MS update, even if they are only MS plugins. They should not be forced to carry any other company’s plugins, just as they should not be forced to make the Search bar in IE 7 work with other Search engines.
